INSTRUCTIONS & HEALING PROCESS
Following careful instructions will give you the best possible results for your skin type and promote good healing.

 

Day 1

Keep the tagaderm band aid on until the following morning.

Day 2

Remove tegaderm patch in the shower. Let warm water run over your tattoo but do not  scrub with any soap. ,  After gently washing, pat the area dry.

 

Now, once the area is patted dry, you will by applying the provided aftercare balm (Aquaphor) and applying the tagaderm patch.  You will leave this on for 4 days now.  You can shower normally with the patch on.  Please avoid any hot tubs or saunas for 3 weeks.

Things not to do in the healing process:

• No direct sunlight to the area throughout healing.

• Do not scratch or pick scabs.

• Do not wear tight clothing over the tattoo while healing.

• Do not immerse your body in water while the tattoo is healing.  For example, no swimming, hot tubs or baths.

• Avoid excessive sweating

*If you are are allergic to adhesives or react to the Tegaderm patch, gently remove it and just use the Aquaphor balm for healing.

 

 

 

Day 5

Remove the tagaderm band aid in the shower.  Wash with warm water and a mild soap.  Air dry the tattoo and gently apply more Aquaphor for another 4-7 days as needed.
